I had a great interview today with a really inspiring young man. He has recently left his day job–traditional, professional, what he went to university for–to pursue his passion–music.
As we talked about making the leap, conquering fear and taking risks, he said, “The number one believer has to be you. Even if the rest of the world does not believe in you, if you believe in yourself one day or another people will start believing in you.”
It was a powerful–yet simple–perspective. When I look at people who are working to make a living by pursuing their dreams, they are driven, dedicated people who believe in their own efforts and abilities.
